A Stellar Conversation with a Space Pioneer

On 5 August 2026, students of Classes X–XII had the extraordinary opportunity to interact with Gp Capt Shubhanshu Shukla, AC, Indian Air Force test pilot and ISRO Gaganyaan astronaut, at Air Force Technical College, Jalahalli. The session was organised by AFFWA (R).

Sharing glimpses from his remarkable journey in the Indian Air Force and his experience of space exploration, Gp Capt Shukla spoke about life beyond Earth and experiments conducted in space, including those involving plants. His inspiring journey sparked curiosity and encouraged students to dream beyond the ordinary.

The lively interaction continued with students posing questions on space, defence and celestial phenomena, making the session an enriching and memorable experience for all. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of a bouquet and memento to the distinguished guest.
