Annual Sports Meet 2025-26

The Annual Sports Meet of Air Force School, Yelahanka for the academic year 2025–26 was conducted successfully from 16 December 2025 to 19 December 2025 with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The sports meet was inaugurated on 16 December 2025 by the Chief Guest, Air Cmde Rohith Vijayadev VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Yelahanka. The Chief Guest was accorded a warm welcome, and the School NCC Cadets escorted him with pride. The ceremonial march past was led by the School Deputy Head Girl, Jisha Rajendran. The Chief Guest formally declared the Annual Sports Meet open.

The opening ceremony was witnessed by the Principal, Education Director, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and students, making the event memorable and grand.

A wide range of sports events were organized for students of all categories.

Senior students actively participated in:

• Athletics • Football • Volleyball • Basketball • Throwball • Chess • Table Tennis • Badminton

For primary students, fun and skill-based events such as:

• Relay Race • Hoops Relay • Changing the Things • Hurdles Race • Go to Market Race

Several inter-house competitions were organized during the four-day sports meet, fostering team spirit, discipline, and healthy competition among students. The events were conducted smoothly with active participation from all houses.

The Closing Ceremony was held on 19 December 2025. The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Gp Capt S. Shridhar, C Adm O, Air Force Station, Yelahanka. A few final events were also conducted on the last day in his presence.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was the highlight of the closing ceremony. Medals and certificates were awarded to the winners and achievers.

• Best Athlete Boy and Best Athlete Girl awards were presented.

• Best March Past Trophy was won by Dhruv House.

• The Overall Championship Trophy was proudly lifted by Chetak House.

The Annual Sports Meet 2025–26 concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind cherished memories and reinforcing the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
